UFC 139 Was Absolutely Amazing

All I can say is that it was an absolute privilege to have had the pleasure of attending one of the very best fight events I’ve ever seen at UFC 139 in San Jose. It was already a very good event before the epic war between Dan Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, but that fight had everything anybody could possibly ask for in a main event, and more. Kudos to Henderson and Rua, both of whom were winners last night in my opinion, and kudos to the UFC for delivering such an entertaining and enjoyable night of fights.

I’ll have more actual analysis later, but for now, I’ll simply say that it was a thrill to not only get a fight in which Dan Henderson crushed “Shogun” with a series of bombs early, and was on the verge of winning, but seeing “Shogun” come back and win the last two rounds, threatening submissions in the fifth and final round. It’s amazing… I already considered Rua and Henderson to be two of my favorite fighters ever before this fight. Now, they’re firmly cemented as the top two, and they earned every bit of it. Thanks to Dan Henderson and Mauricio Rua for making it a night I’ll remember for a very long time.
