What SILVA Would Have Predicted For Fedor vs. Ishii

Yes, I know, it’s easy to make predictions about a fight AFTER it happens, but I don’t think there’s a single right-thinking MMA analyst out there that would have considered picking Satoshi Ishii to beat Fedor Emelianenko, even with Emelianenko being well past his prime at this point.
It’s worth noting regardless… Emelianenko entered with a very good SILVA score of 70.58. Ishii… entered with a SILVA score of just 23.18. The result? Emelianenko beats Ishii by first-round KO.
Their updated SILVA scores are: Emelianenko 69.87, Ishii 17.94. Ishii’s SILVA score drops for obvious reasons. For Emelianenko, old wins against good opponents are losing relevance in the system, and as long as wins against fighters such as even Mark Hunt are being replaced with Satoshi Ishii, it’s not going to help Emelianenko’s SILVA score.
