SILVA Predictions for UFC on Fox 3
And here they are:
-Don’t get too hung up on the massive difference in SILVA between John Lineker and Louis Gaudinot. Lineker is a strong favorite, and I expect him to win despite missing weight, but Gaudinot’s SILVA score is only as dreadful as it is because he’s only beaten one decent opponent in MMA. The moment Gaudinot gets one more good win, his SILVA score will rise to respectability.
-SILVA picked +400 underdog Tim Elliott to beat John Dodson. I’ve never seen Elliott fight, so I don’t know how good he is really, but it may be reasonable to suggest that at least Dodson is more vulnerable in this fight than people think.
-Pascal Krauss is a fighter I’ve identified in the past as being a good prospect, but he hasn’t fought in nearly 18 months. I look forward to seeing how he does against John Hathaway, who hasn’t performed as well recently as his SILVA score suggests, but Hathaway is the safe pick to win at this point.
-I’m not sure why Dennis Bermudez is favored to beat Pablo Garza. Maybe it’s because of wrestling, but Bermudez gets hurt with strikes all the time. Garza looks like a pretty decent pick to score the upset at this point.
