SILVA Predictions for UFC on FX 3
June 8, 2012

Here they are:
There are two guys in particular to watch for on the preliminaries. The first is Tim Means, a very tall, lanky lightweight who battered Bernardo Magalhaes in his UFC debut. Means is definitely a SILVA favorite: SILVA sees him as one of the 15 best lightweights in the world, but probably nobody would agree. We’ll see how he does against a tough wrestler in Justin Salas. The other fighter to watch out for is Mike Pierce, a guy who’s put up very tough fights against opponents like Johny Hendricks and Josh Koscheck. I love what Carlos Rocha can do on the ground, but he first needs to get Pierce there, and I don’t see that happening.
SILVA’s underdog picks here are Charlie Brenneman, Matt Grice, and Bernardo Magalhaes. Usually, when I point out what underdogs SILVA picks to win, they all lose, so hopefully I haven’t jinxed all of those guys. Caio Magalhaes is also currently listed as the slightest of underdogs to Buddy Roberts.
