UFC 164 Predictions Summary
August 31, 2013

Despite picking Martin Kampmann to beat Carlos Condit earlier this week my picks were 8-3 at UFC Fight Night 27, and should have been 9-3 with a Roger Bowling victory. Let’s keep the momentum going with UFC 164:
-The betting public sees Henderson-Pettis as a toss-up, but my numbers say Henderson is a solid favorite to win. I don’t expect Pettis to go away quietly but the fight might not be quite as even as anticipated.
-Underdogs FPR likes on this card include: Dustin Poirier and Ryan Couture. After picking six underdogs on Wednesday I’m happy to get back to basically agreeing with the betting public on most of the fights.
-The biggest favorites are Tim Elliott and Magnus Cedenblad, but that’s because FPR hates Louis Gaudinot and Jared Hamman. Gaudinot gets hit a ton and Hamman can’t go a round without being put on “queer street.” It’s not a sign that I’m expecting big things out of Elliott or Cedenblad – although I could see Elliott contending for the UFC flyweight title soon.
Enjoy the fights!
